Matt Autry is the President of Oil and Gas at Valor

Matt possesses 15 years of oil and gas industry experience that ranges from working as a landman to owning and managing minerals. He held managerial landman positions at King Operating, King Royalty, and Equinor (formerly Brigham Exploration/Statoil). Matt’s primary focus has been on the land management side of business, including mergers, trades, acquisitions and divestitures in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and North Dakota. He also has experience in leasing, preparing units for drilling opportunities and managing the acquisition and development of mineral packages. Matt obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ashford University.

Ashlyn Barney is a Division Order Analyst at Valor

Ashlyn Barney has over 4 years working in the Oil and Gas Industry as a Landman. A majority of her experience is in acquisitions, divestitures, leasing and mineral and leasehold title examination. Ashlyn has conducted due diligence for multi-billion-dollar acquisitions in various states including Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Colorado.

Jason Beck is the Director of Land at Valor

Jason Beck is a Certified Professional Landman and Certified Trust and Financial Advisor with extensive experience in servicing Trusts, Agencies and Foundations over his career. He was the Executive Director and Regional Manager of Mineral Asset Management for JPMorgan Chase for 17 years and oversaw all areas of mineral management. Jason received his BS from West Texas A&M University in Agricultural Business & Economics and holds a Petroleum Land Practice certification from Texas Christian University.

Ashley Beebe is the Chief of Staff at Valor

Ashley brings a law degree and ten years of experience in the world of professional sports as an NFLPA Certified Agent and Vice President of Marketing and Events at a Dallas-based sports agency to Valor. She was named a Top 30 Under 30 in Sports by Sports Launch Magazine and has served as a featured speaker for both the SMU and Texas A&M Sports Law Symposiums. Beebe also co-founded a digital media company that Forbes recognized for its innovative business model. Before Valor, Ashley served as the Associate Director of Major Giving for Athletics at TCU. As Valor’s Chief of Staff, Ashley brings her wide-ranging experiences to build effective strategic models for our organization & team members.

Joseph DeWoody is the Co-Founder, CEO and CTO of Valor

Joseph, the 2021 D CEO Energy Services and Technology Executive of the Year, has acquired and managed thousands of oil and gas interests during his career. He brings extensive experience in oil and gas exploration, production, investment, development and management and is a Certified Mineral Manager (CMM) and a Certified Professional Landman (CPL). Joseph is a life member of American Mensa and the National Society of Washington Family Descendants. He received his BBA and MBA from Baylor University, where he played football. Joseph was appointed to the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists and he serves as director of the National Association of Royalty Owners — Texas. He was named one of Oil and Gas Investor Magazine’s “Top 20 Under 40” and was featured in the Dallas Business Journal’s “Who’s Who in Energy.”

Clifton DuBose is the Co-Founder and Partner of Valor

Clifton, a multi-generational mineral owner, brings extensive leadership experience and a combined background in law and agribusiness to the Valor team. He has managed oil and gas assets for numerous investors including family offices, high-net-worth individuals and private equity firms. Clifton previously practiced oil and gas law in Midland, Texas, where he drafted and negotiated oil and gas title opinions, leases, purchase and sale agreements and other contracts. Clifton earned his undergraduate degree from Abilene Christian University and his law degree from the Georgetown Law School.

Skye has spent seven years as a landman working with Charbonnet Land Services and Waggoner Osborne Land Services. Focused on title work, mineral acquisition, and leasing in the Permian and Delaware Basins. Skye has also worked as a Specialty Asset Manager in the oil and gas division of Bank of America. Si acquired his BS in Accounting and Mathematics from Western Governors University. Before his role at Valor, Si immersed himself in a fast-paced working environment and pursued a banking career for three years, gaining valuable critical-thinking, detail-oriented, and time-efficiency skills. As a staff accountant, Si utilizes his meticulous nature and analysis skills to guarantee clients’ data is transferred and accurately reflected on Valor’s mineral management software, mineral.tech®.

Gage received his bachelor's degree from Texas Christian University with a focus in Economics. Born and raised in Amarillo, TX, Gage had the opportunity to work alongside his father in the agriculture industry operating a third-generation commercial farm located in Moore County. He has experience and specializes in all areas of commercial real estate, including brokerage, management, and multifamily acquisitions. Additionally, Gage has experience in Spirits and is actively engaged in all aspects of the alcohol industry.

Teresa has 14 years of extensive experience in month-end revenue closing, account reconciliations, JIB accounting, invoicing and billing, monthly severance and royalty filing and reporting, regulatory compliance, ad-hoc reporting and research and variance analysis. Teresa possesses the ability to effectively utilize oil and gas related software and sites such as WolfePak, Quorum, Oildex, EnergyLink and PDS. Prior to Valor, she has worked in various accounting roles for P2 Energy Solutions, Wagner Oil Company, MineralWare and Bank of Texas.

Trevor Hedeman is the Director of Farm and Ranch at Valor

Trevor received his bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences from Texas A&M University. Throughout his life Trevor has grown up farming, ranching and rodeing. He has experience and specializes in all areas of farm and ranch management, including: livestock brand registration, cowboying services, livestock purchasing and selling, nutrition/feeding program, exotic animal management and conservation of wildlife habitats. Additionally, Trevor has experience in Spirits and is well versed in all aspects of the alcohol industry.

Hanna Howard is the Chief Growth Officer at Valor

Hanna has 15 years in the college coaching profession, having spent the past eight as the Associate Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator for the Women’s Basketball program at Texas Christian University. Her involvement in all elements of strategic planning for on-court success, resulting in 13 winning seasons, 11 postseason appearances, and 5 conference championships, will bring immediate value to her role as Valor’s Chief Growth Officer. Howard’s ability to develop and recruit talent produced 38 Big 12 All-Conference Honors while at TCU, 5 Conference Players of the Year, 3 All-American Honors, and recognition as the #6 nationally ranked recruiting class in 2016. Hanna earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Communication from the University of Portland, where she played college basketball, and received her master’s degree from Concordia University, Irvine in Coaching and Athletic Administration and Sports Science.

Liz Jang is the Director of CPG and Valor Ignite at Valor

Liz brings a number of talents to the Valor team with expertise in operations, strategic planning, marketing, and customer service. She previously served as regional director for one of YPO's (formerly Young Presidents' Organization) largest regions in addition to other managerial roles over her 13-year tenure. As regional director she facilitated over 30 strategic planning sessions and oversaw the expansion and development of four new markets in the region as well as two additional emerging markets. Prior to YPO, Liz worked in commercial real estate property management. Liz obtained a bachelor's degree in history with a minor in business from Texas A&M University.

Hannah brings nearly a decade of experience to her role as Director of Marketing. She previously worked with brands such as Chick-fil-A, Neiman Marcus, Abercrombie & Fitch and Cook Children's Health Care System. She has extensive experience in preparing and leading strategies rooted in both traditional and digital marketing tactics. Hannah also spent time working at the Richards Group and iProspect. After moving into industry accounting, he worked with a rapidly growing start up to develop first time financial and accounting processes, controls and various reporting packages. Russ, a geologist with over 30 years of experience in Oil and Gas, has an eclectic background that includes work as a title analyst, DO and lease analyst, regulatory manager, engineering technician, geoscience data manager, and exploration geologist. He has previously worked for Santa Fe Snyder, Quicksilver, and Range Resources. Russ has advanced skills in geocomputing, reservoir evaluation, drilling, and seismic survey design and interpretation. Jeremy Wilkinson is the Chief Information Security Officer at Valor

Jeremy has worked in Information Technology for twenty-six years, with the last ten being focused on cybersecurity. He has a M.S. in Cyber Security and Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security and Biology. His background includes working on a cyber team for multiple nuclear power plants across the U.S. and the Department of Defense in Afghanistan. Since then, Jeremy has worked to secure businesses, including financial institutions, hospitals, oil and gas firms, and manufacturing facilities, specializing in security for both IT and ICS networks. As Valor's CISO, Jeremy designs, manages, and updates Valor’s state-of-the-art cybersecurity program.
