An active permit is a well permitted in the last 24 months that has not yet started producing. The directory includes drilled-but-uncompleted (DUC) wells; producing wells are excluded, and operators are listed when they hold three or more active permits.
The directory is aggregated from public Texas Railroad Commission and Oklahoma Corporation Commission filings and is updated weekly.
